"It has been my privilege to serve you on Town Council these six years. Please consider re-electing me to your Town Council. My proudest accomplishment so far has been to work with Ammon Young and the PA HRC to write, support, and pass the Antidiscrimination Ordinance.
Over the past few years, there has been a trend towards the loss of rights for women and for the LGBTQ Community. We must be on guard at even the local level to protect those rights.
Protection of rights has the further benefit of making Bloomsburg more welcoming to residents and visitors and improving our overall quality of life. Community building is essential for maintaining essential services and adding amenities while keeping the tax burden fair. We must continue to seek opportunities to make Bloomsburg more walkable. Now that East St. is improved, and with pedestrian-friendly traffic signal timing changes and the Bloomsburg Area Recreational Trail coming this year, we should focus on sidewalks with ramps and better lighting for the smaller streets.
I continue to seek opportunities and promote events for our community. I support tiny shops as the next business-building project for our community. Having tiny shops reduces the financial barrier for folks to build a new business.
Accomplishments and aspirations aside, I hope that Bloomsburgians have found that I will respectfully listen with empathy, an open mind, and with the intent to help where I can. Your comments, concerns, questions, and suggestions are always welcome."
