Patricia Lawton is a long-time resident of Hemlock Township, Columbia County. She has had a thirty-year career serving children and adults as a speech-language pathologist and an instructor and administrator in higher education at Bloomsburg University.
At Bloomsburg University, Patty directed a federally grant funded program where she collaborated with the Office of Special Education Programs and school districts and intermediate units throughout eastern Pennsylvania.
She is a proven community leader as co-founder and president of the Bloomsburg Parent Action Committee, former union leader, and former leader in youth and church organizations.
Patty has also served as Judge of Elections for Hemlock Township. She is in the final stages of completing a Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership Studies through Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is currently teaching at Commonwealth University of PA at the Bloomsburg campus. Patty is married to Daniel Lawton and together they have five children.
