It’s time to dig deep and remember that our best days still lie  ahead.  ”    —Joe Biden (April 2019)

The Presidential Contest

VICE-PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN IS THE SOLE DEMOCRATIC CONTENDER FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION . MANY DEMOCRATS ARE DISAPPOINTED THAT  THEIR FAVORED CANDIDATE HAS LEFT THE RACE HOWEVER THIS ELECTION PERIOD HAS SHOWN THAT WE HAVE MANY EXCELLENT DEMOCRATS READY AND WILLING TO TAKE OVER THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND LEAD IT BACK TO A SANE, JUST COUNTRY. THE COLUMBIA COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY WISHES TO THANK ALL OF THOSE WHO PUT IN THE INCREDIBLE EFFORT THAT RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENCY INVOLVES AND FOR MAKING THE DIGNIFIED SACRIFICE  THAT HAS GONE A LONG WAY TOWARD REUNIFYING OUR PARTY.

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF COLUMBIA COUNTY WISHES TO REMIND  DEMOCRATS AND OTHER RIGHT THINKING VOTERS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS FOR ALL OF US TO JOIN FORCES TO DEFEAT TRUMP AND REMOVE HIS ENTIRE INFLUENCE FROM THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT. WE AS A PARTY ARE KNOWN FOR OUR DIFFERENCES OF OPINIONS AND PRIORITIES BUT LIFTING THE SCOURGE OF THIS HATE FILLED REGIME IS CLEARLY THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY AND WE MUST BOND TOGETHER AND WORK TOGETHER TO AVOID ANOTHER DEBACLE SUCH AS AMERICA SUFFERED IN 2016.

Laura Quick

What makes a single mom from Palmyra, Lebanon County who is  a UPS package car driver decide to run for Congress?  Since my son’s  birth in 1999 I have been largely on the sidelines – watching and  listening as public officials become beholden to big-money donors and  corporations.

Within the past couple of years, I have been returning to  my social-activist roots through volunteer work within the Central PA  area. Now that my son is 18, it is time to put back on my political  activist shoes and roll up my

Michelle Siegel

My name is Michelle Siegel, and I’m running for the District 27  Pennsylvania State Senate seat. This district encompasses: Snyder,  Northumberland, Montour, Columbia, and part of Luzerne County.  As I  have traveled the district speaking to voters, I’m often asked about  what motivated me to run for public office. My answer—my son, Alex, and  kids like him. The Susquehanna Valley region is my home— it is where I  was raised and where my husband and I have chosen to raise our child. It  is an area that afforded me a happy and secure upbringing that is the  hallmark of a vibrant close-knit community.
